In this lesson, you will discover how to create a subdomain and install WordPress.  Subdomains are subsections of a website. They are a useful tool for organizing a website. The most common subdomain is www, but you can also have a blog, shop, and forum subdomains. You can also use subdomains to reach and engage different segments of a market. For example, for a given website (realjeans.com), you can have za.realjeans.com (for South Africa), eur.realjeans.com (for Europe), ru.realjeans.com (for Russia) etc. Meaning the same website can be customized to reach and engage the different customers across the globe. The za, eur, and ru subdomains can be used to allow for different languages, currencies, etc.
